ABOUT MOUNT FC

Mount FC was formed in 1993 by brothers John and Mark Mullany and Jason White. All three of these founders still remain active members of the club. All played in the inaugeral game, a 6-3 away loss to Woolpack and John and Mark were both still playing, with some influence, for Mount in the 2006-07 season. Mark was Club Chairman up until 2000 and John remains the only Secretary the club has ever had!

Jay White is a former 1st and 2nd team manager and has now been involved in promotion on three occasions, including managing the Reserve team's Championship winning side in 2003-04. Mark Mullany is the current 1st team manager, Barry Gibson looks after 2nd team affairs (and also coaching) and Ian Kelly keeps the 3rd team house in order.

The current Chairman is Andy Briggs who joined the club in 1999. Jay White is vice-chairman and whilst the committee is made up of the administrative and management teams, all players are invited and expected to play major supporting roles in keeping the club moving forwards.

Mount FC 1st Team began life in the Huddersfield & District Associated Football League Division 5 and has progressed to being a regular top eight finisher in the current HDAFL 2nd Division. A reserve side was formed in 1997-98 which has moved from Reserve Division 4 up to Reserve Division 1 by 2003-04. It currently plays in Reserve Division 2. For the 2003-04 season, Mount FC ran a 3rd team for the first time and the team has enjoyed three unsuccessful promotion challenges so far.
